We are excited to introduce our new reasonable adjustment flag feature, available in the upcoming version release of DXS BestPathway.

Designed to meet NHS standards and streamline your workflow, the reasonable adjustment flag feature promotes inclusive care by ensuring a patient requiring reasonable adjustments is considered and catered for.

Solution Overview
Relying on coded patient records, the feature utilises existing clinical record codes for impairments that have significant long-term effects and require adjustments to health and care access, as outlined in the standard’s core requirements.

• Automatic, Universal, and Streamlined Workflow: Implemented across all BestPathway SMART referral forms without requiring any manual form changes.
• High Visibility:
  1. Visible under the loaded patient’s name and NHS number.
  2. Visible in the instruction banners on referral forms.
  3. Displayed in headers of completed referral forms, along with the date of birth and NHS number.

Future Improvements
DXS is exploring options to display specific coded adjustments (when recorded in the clinical system) and to potentially integrate with the RA digital flag API for expanded integration capabilities.
